The simple yet elegant L-shape Tamarind Suite is built around a verandah shaded by an old Tamarind tree. This is a single-room villa, with – in addition to the single king-size bed - a day bed, which can be made up into an extra bed (ideal for a child). Following the contours of a large granite boulder, the kitchen/ dining area looks out onto lush plantings and, in the distance, a coconut grove. There is a small open-air terrace next to the kitchen, ideal for sun bathing or enjoying a sundowner out in the open. Banyan Suite

This two-level wooden house affords vistas of coconut groves on one side and gardens on the other. Upstairs or down, gentle breezes flow through the house even on the hottest days. Similar to a traditional Thai-style house, the terracotta tiled living space on the ground floor is completely open on three sides, and looking onto the surrounding gardens, accommodates a built-in kitchen, dining, and lounge area: an ideal place for relaxing during the day. The up-stairs open-air bathroom has been constructed around the roots of a giant ficus tree, which lends this house another element of uniqueness. Note: Because of its unprotected decks and stairs, the Banyan Suite may not be suitable for toddlers or very young children. Zen Garden

Zen Garden

Our staff calls “Zen Garden” the "Japanese House". The spacious living room opens out onto a lovely pond, and together with the sliding doors and sliding windows conjures up images of gracious Japanese homes. Feel tension slip away as you listen to the gentle murmur of the pond's small waterfall and the myriad sounds of nature around you. A large villa, with separate bedroom, living room, open deck, and kitchen the Zen Garden can accommodate four persons (futon mattresses can be set up in the living room area). However, as the villa only has one bathroom it is ideal for a couple. Because of its Far-Eastern ambiance it is very much favoured by honeymooners. The bedroom and living areas have air conditioning, while the sitting/dining area adjoining the kitchen is al fresco. All rooms look out onto the surrounding gardens, and those who enjoy cooking will appreciate the kitchen - the most spacious one at Tamarind Springs. Note: Because there are no railings around the pond, the Zen Garden may not be suitable for toddlers or very young children. Sala Dhawan

Sala Dhawan

Sala Dhawan literally translates to “sun pavilion”. Except for natural granite rock faces, confining the space, this pentagon shape villa - as its name already indicates – is a very open structure, with hardly any walls to speak of. With its two-levels and a small sleeping loft under the roof it can accommodate four persons and is ideal for a family. Perched on the hillside, overlooking a panorama of trees and the sea in the distance, Sala Dhawan’s main attraction is a gigantic granite boulder right in its front yard. This serves as an ideal venue for sun bathing or stargazing. The master bedroom is built into the cool granite of the sous-terrain, looking out onto the surrounding private garden. In addition to the open-air bathroom, which is part of a rock garden at the back of the building, the down stairs bedroom has an in-built bathroom with toilet and shower. Sala Dhawan's private entrance gate is accessible by car or motorbike making it a very cozy private hideaway. Note: Because of its unprotected decks and steep stairs, Sala Dhawan may not be suitable for toddlers or very young children.
